What if you could provide your clients with the ability to charge their renters their actual electric, water and gas usage? Would that be something your clients would be interested in? No longer do they have to guess what they think the usage would be or wait for their electric bill to come and then try to send an additional bill to the renters after they have checked out. The answer is very simple! By installing sub meters, that you can access remotely, on these services, you can easily determine the renters usage for each service. The owner can choose what he wants to charge for each of these services.

What if you could remotely control the thermostat? Would that be of value? I would think so. Now you can make sure that once the renter checks out the thermostat is set at a temperature for a vacant property. Or if you have a cleaning staff that goes in lowers the temperature and leaves and forgets to raise the temperature? What if you could view via a remote access smart meter, the consumption on each of the main appliances, pool heaters or any electrical circuit you wanted? Would there be value in that? Especially if the smart meter had some analytical software that could help you determine if an appliance was starting to have a problem and not operating upto it's full efficiency. This would give an owner the ability to determine if they want to replace the appliance or just accept the less efficient appliance as is for now.
